As our piece will be a duration piece, we decided that it should reflect upon the time of day. As well as holding our speech bubbles we came up with the idea of having synchronised watches which would mean we could choreograph movement to do in synchronisation without it looking as obvious to the audience. We were inspired by Super Night Shot as their synchronisation was visually striking and very affective on the audience. We looked into the idea of having a live stream with one of us to show what the other is doing but we realised this may not be possible due to our location. Therefore we agreed that, although we want to use the whole of the high street from St Mary Le Wigford church to the Bailgate, we would always be in close proximity of each other. This has a better effect visually as the audience can see more than one sign saying our quotes. I headed to the high street this week to observe interaction, as part of our piece will be representing the city at certain times. For example, at lunch the high street is busier and people are less likely to interact therefore our movement could reflect this. In parallel to this, early in the morning the high street may be empty therefore we could use the lingering effect used in the Radio Ballet Leipzig.
We plan to visit our site regularly to monitor this and to get a good grasp on what happens and when in our site and then reflect it within our piece.
